The workshop will be held in Philadelphia, PA on March 15th, 2013. The workshop is organized by the Computer and Information Sciences Department, Temple University. This workshop is open to all junior faculty members, with preference given to faculty in CISE. This is an NSF sponsored event designed to introduce junior faculty to the NSF CAREER program, and help them prepare their CAREER proposal. This one-day workshop will feature NSF CISE program directors from the IIS CNS, CCF divisions, as well as recent NSF CAREER awardees. Attendees will have an opportunity to attend presentations on proposal writing, participate in mock panels, and network with senior faculty members. ** Participation in the workshop is by invitation only. ** To maximise interactions between participants, there will be limited slots available. Interested faculty are urged to apply early through the workshop website (http://www.cis.temple.edu/NSFCareer2013/). The application deadline is Jan 30, 2013. Underrepresented faculty as well as HBCU/MEI faculty are encouraged to apply. There will be limited travel support for faculty from HBCU/MEI universities.
