The Dept of Computer Science at Columbia University invites applications for a Staff Associate position in the area of Cyber-Physical Systems. Basic responsibilities focus on research in designing novel applications and network protocols for the Internet of Things, as well as ensuring user-focused security for such networks. Incumbent will participate in the preparation of research grant applications to a variety of funding agencies and private foundations for the sponsoring faculty member at Columbia University. Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree or higher. Preferred Qualifications: MS in Computer Science preferred; 4 years professional experience in research field. Qualifications include knowledge of Internet mobility protocols, including MIPv6, HIP, LISP and IEEE 802.21, theoretical knowledge and practical experience with other Internet protocols such as SCTP and SOCKS, deep familiarity with the Linux networking stack.
