This position is available immediately for a period of THREE (3) years. Candidate will work in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering @ Communications and Networks Laboratory(CNL), NUS, Singapore. The candidate must have earned a PhD Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with strong analytical and implementation skills in Data Mining & Analysis. He/She must be adaptable to work in Graph Databases as well as in conventional SQL based environments. Candidates from other closely related areas will also be considered. The project is aiming to develop novel data mining methods to handle large-scale health data on Cloud platforms and to develop intelligent interfaces that aid medical practitioners and other related users to interact with the system. The candidate will have unique opportunity to collaborate with scientists and engineers from Fujitsu, UK and he/she will work with state-of- the-art paradigms (MapReduce) and on Hadoop Platforms.
