*** apologies for cross-posting *** CALL FOR PAPERS
IEEE GLOBECOM 2013 WIRELESS NETWORKING SYMPOSIUM http://www.ieee-globecom.org/ Dec. 9-13, 2013, Atlanta, GA, USA FIRM DEADLINE: Mar. 29, 2013 Wireless networks will encompass heterogeneous access technologies and the Internet backbone for providing services to both mobile and static users. Yet, enabling broadband wireless access with seamless and ubiquitous coverage and Quality-of-Service (QoS) provisioning still poses significant technical challenges. The objective of this symposium is to serve as an international forum for experts from academia, industry, and government to exchange ideas and new results on research and development, as well as to promote and accelerate standardization, applications, and services of current and future wireless networks. Prospective authors are invited to submit original contributions on all aspects of wireless networks, applications, and services, including, but not limited to the following topics of interest. Please note that this Symposium covers higher layers of the network protocol stack, although papers on cross-layer design/optimization are welcome. Therefore, papers solely ! related to radio communications and the physical layer should be submitted to other relevant symposia of IEEE GLOBECOM 2013. Topics of interest for the Wireless Networking Symposium include, but are not limited to: - Cellular systems, 2G/2.5G/3G/4G and beyond - WiMAX, LTE, WMAN, and other emerging broadband wireless networks - Networking issues in WLAN, WPAN, and other home/personal networking technologies - Pervasive and wearable computing - Wireless networks for underwater communications - Delay tolerant wireless networks - Femtocell networks - Wireless mesh networks - Vehicular wireless networks - Wireless cloud computing - Wireless Internet and mobile IP - Inter-networking and integration of wireless heterogeneous and multi-tier networks - Reconfigurable wireless networks - Novel architectural design and operation models - Service-centric, peer-to-peer, and overlay wireless networks - Self-organizing networks - Wireless multimedia networks - Location- and context-aware services - End-to-end protocols, flow and congestion control - Routing and multicasting protocols - Resource management and admission control - Mobility, handoff, and location management - Power management and Energy conservation techniques - User cooperation and incentive schemes - Cross-layer design and optimization - Performance analysis and QoS provisioning - Network planning, capacity analysis, and topology control - Monitoring, network measurement, and network management - Fault-tolerance and traffic engineering - Pricing and billing modeling and solutions - Testbeds and deployment - Standardization activities of emerging wireless technologies Please visit the following website for submission deadlines: http://www.ieee-globecom.org/2013/submguide.html _______________________________________________ IEEE Communications Society Tech.
