The First International Workshop on Green Mobile Networking (GMN 2013) In Conjunction with Fourth International Green Computing Conference (IGCC 2013)
June 26 2013, Arlington, VA. http://trust.csu.edu.cn/faculty/~wangyang/gmn2013.htm *Scope Mobile data traffic doubles every year with the wide-spread of mobile devices and the popularity of mobile applications. Thus, there is an increasing tension between ever-rising energy demand and the growing of mobile data traffic. To address this issue, the Workshop on Green Mobile Networking is being organized to bring together researchers and practitioners to explore the challenges, opportunities, and approaches for energy-aware mobile networking architecture and networking protocols design from both mobile network infrastructure and mobile devices. *Topics of interest The workshop seeks papers that address theoretical, experimental, and work in-progress in the area of green mobile networking. Topics covered by the workshop will include, but are not limited to the following: Power measurement and profiling for mobile network infrastructure and mobile devices. Power saving for Cellular Networks/WLAN infrastructure Energy efficiency optimization for Cellular Networks/WLAN networking protocols Green mobile networking architecture *Important Dates Papers due: April 30th, 2013 Author notification: May 15th, 2013 Camera-ready final papers due: May 22th, 2013 *Submission Guidelines and Publication Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the workshop. Submissions should include an abstract, key words, the e-mail address of the corresponding author. The submission should follow the template found by clicking MS-Word here (MS-Word Template Instructions) or LaTex here (LaTex Template Instructions). To directly access submission please go to https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=igcc13ws. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the workshop to present the work. Each submitted paper will be peer reviewed and the comments will be provided to the authors. The accepted papers will be published in the workshop proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society Press and IEEE online library.
