Dear all, As you may have seen from the CFP that has been posted to this and other mailing lists, the submission deadline for the third IEEE Online Conference on Green Communications is approaching (http://www.ieee-greencom.org/). In contrast to traditional conferences, a key distinguishing factor of IEEE OnlineGreenComm is that it is conducted entirely online. This has substantial advantages in terms of traveling time and cost as well as enviromental friendliness. Also, it provides a unique opportunity to participate in a conference with some researchers that may have difficulty in attending traditional conferences.
Over the previous two editions of the conference, IEEE OnlineGreenComm has made an effort to improve the online experience by setting up a platform that provides attendees with the opportunity for interactive technical discussions, networking, viewing demonstrations and interacting with exhibitors just like an in-person conference. At the same time, previous editions of IEEE OnlineGreenComm have featured a high quality program that show that, despite its youth, the conference is gaining reputation as a high quality venue for green communications research. We believe that having such an online conference is a worthwhile effort for our research community. We would appreciate your help in spreading the word about the conference, contributing to its success and developing the novel online experience. We also welcome participants of the previous editions to share their experience with us so that we can improve the conference based on their feedback. Best regards, Michela Meo and Albert Banchs General Chairs for IEEE OnlineGreenComm _______________________________________________ IEEE Communications Society Tech.
