Dear Giovanni, As announced in the CCR editorial published recently, Conext will include short papers in addition to the regular papers. The Conext SC strongly believes that adding short papers to Conext will benefit the entire community by making the conference more dynamic. Your email also makes me believe that you are in favor of such short papers.
As you know, Conext is one of the events sponsored by SIGCOMM and this implies coordination with other SIGCOMM sponsored events. This coordination happened during a meeting that involved the SIGCOMM TSC, the SIGCOMM EC, and the Conext and Hotnets SC last week. One of the outcomes of this coordination is that both short and regular papers deadlines have been aligned for Conext 2013. The Conext SC believes that in the long term this is the best solution for the conference. We apologise for the deadline changes this caused in 2013. The SIGCOMM EC will evaluate the benefits of having short papers at Conext at the end of the year. If there are other issues that you'd like to discuss about Conext, feel free to contact the Conext SC. Best regards, Olivier Bonaventure Conext SC chair _______________________________________________ IEEE Communications Society Tech.
