Full Professor (W3) in Communication Systems Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology We are seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research in the area of communication systems. The starting date is summer semester 2014. The candidate is expected to have excellent competence in at least one of the following areas of communication technology: - Algorithms and systems of signal processing, - Signal detection and signal estimation, - Source and channel coding. It is expected that the professorship contributes to the curriculum in the areas above, and participates in teaching the fundamental courses. The scientific orientation shall be reflected in an attractive application area, e.g., speech and audio signal processing, or mobile communication. A strong commitment to teaching are essential. Knowledge of German is not necessary to begin but will be expected as a teaching language within the first 5 years. The application should include supporting documents regarding success in teaching.
