A position funded by the EPSRC project: Digital Personhood: Being There:
Human and Robots in Public Spaces (HARPS) has arisen in Dr. Niki Trigoni
and Dr. Andrew Markham’s group. It is in collaboration with researchers at
the Universities of Oxford, Exeter, Bath, London (Queen Mary) and Bristol.


Applicants must have (or shortly be expecting to obtain) a PhD in Computer
Science or a closely related field, and should include a supporting
statement, summarizing how they would contribute to the project. Priority
will be given to candidates who can strengthen and/or broaden existing
activities of the Oxford Sensor Networks group.


The primary selection criteria are a strong background and knowledge of
sensor networks with particular focus on localization, supported by a track
record of relevant publications, and ability and willingness to participate
in the development of real sensor systems. Candidates with prior experience
in embedded systems, digital signal processing and estimation in the
context of localization are especially encouraged to apply. Any queries

The post, which is a full time appointment, is funded by EPRSC and is
available for up to 3 years. The salary is on the University grade 07S
scale (currently £29,541 to £36,298). This includes membership of the
University Superannuation Scheme (USS) and has an annual leave entitlement
of 38 days per year (inclusive of all public holidays and university closed
periods).
