On that particular adapter, yes.

You can't suppose that it's done on all adapters on all platforms, however; in particular, on at least some adapters, the Mac OS X driver *doesn't* make the adapter strip the FCS, and I think some drivers in some BSDs don't strip it either.

You also can't assume that FCSes are always 4 bytes; in PPP, for example, a packet might have no FCS, a 2-byte FCS, or a 4-byte FCS.
