We've been having a problem with losing percision on tcpdump timestamps. The last 4 digits of each timestamp are always the same. When we were using older versions of Redhat (with 2.2 kernel), we didn't have this problem (or so it seemed - the numbers were always different, but that could have been incorrect). We're using: Redhat 7.1 (2.4.2 kernel) libpcap 0.6.2 tcpdump 3.6.2 I know this problem was discussed before on the list (msg: http://www.tcpdump.org/lists/workers/2001/07/msg00001.html), and we tried that, but we still have the same problem. Has anyone else encountered this (and more importantly, solved it) ?
