Hello, I was reading through the pcap library man-pages trying to find an alternative to the ethernet device driver interface that I'm trying to make on Linux.
Can 2 programs execute both using pcap to capture packets from the ethernet interfaces? Do the programs run in super-user mode? Do you know if the same restrictions apply to sockets of type PF_PACKET? Any answers that you provide will help considerably. Thanks in advance Rajesh - This is the TCPDUMP workers list.
