I'm not sure what the nature of this message posting site is, so I thought I would email this message and see what comes of it. If there is a more appropriate route to take this question through please describe. I need to write a test program to "drive" the bpf_filter. I am young to the coding world and this is certainly over my head, but nontheless I need to do it. My questions are: Which .h file are the incoming structures defined in (so that I can create some of my own to send to the filter to "drive" it)? What is the nature of the incoming variables/structures, in other words what kinda things should I know about... ex. this variable has to be a number between 23 and 435676...? Finally and probably most importantly, where can I find a decent test program for the bpf_filter so that I don't have to worry about any of this? If you could shed any light on anything related to the functionality of the bpf_filter I would so appreciate it, in that it would bring me closer to understanding the project at hand.
