Hi:

I have problems with the installation of TCPdump in my Solaris 2.6.

I created a directory /temporal in the root

here downloaded the libpcap-0.5.tar and the tcpdump-3.5.tar files. I
inflated first the libpcap went in the libpcap_0_5 directory and execute
./configure, I didn't use any options, I used the default installation
(/usr/local/bin, /usr/local/lib, etc), previous to this I installed the gcc
2.9 ver and Perl 5.1.

Well, in the ./configure action I didn't have any problems, but when I
execute make, appear the following errors:

yacc -d grammar.y

sh: yacc not found

***error code 1

make fatal error: Command failed to grammar.c

ok

I configure the path to yacc

PATH=/usr/ccs/bin:$PATH

Well

when execute again, appear the same message again, well, I execute only the
line about the command:

yacc -d grammar.y

Because the command line create the grammar.c file, necessary to make
install, install-incl, and install-lib files.

When I execute the line appear the following message:

"grammar.y", warning:Error in finding run directory. Using Default"

"grammar.y", line 306:fatal:cannot find parser /usr/ccs/lib/yaccpar

I search the file but this is in /usr/ccs/bin directory, I copy the yaccpar
file to the /ccs/lib directory to complete the configuration, but don't can
function.

I need help, I want install the TCPDump

Best Regards

Luis Mendoza
