The BBC are now using the 'Species' microformat:

on their BBC Wildlife Finder; for example, see:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/species/Banded_Mongoose
You may remember that I've reported previously that it's already in use on
Wikipedia.
As the designer of that microformat, I'm happy to answer any questions; or
receive any suggestions for its improvement.
