Applications are being accepted for a one semester, temporary full-time position as Visiting Lecturer in Sociology to begin January 1, 2006.  A master’s degree or equivalent graduate credit hours in sociology is required.  The candidate will teach four courses:  two sections of Introduction to Sociology; Theory; and a 300-400 level course in the candidate’s area of specialization.  Successful teaching will be critical in this position.  Candidates with demonstrated experience teaching and working with a diverse student population will be given preference.  IUPUC is a commuter campus, located 40 miles south of Indianapolis, with a student enrollment of 1,800.
