Now that we know that run off elections in Chile can determine gender we
can explore further stuff. We have known for a long time that men don't
talk much. Its natural.
It goes back to the hunting and gathering. Men didn't talk because
they didn't want to scare away the animals. Women on the other hand
talked while gathering because
they wanted to scare the animals. They worried if it got quiet. That
could mean that a woman was eaten by an animal. That's not good.
Now for the deeper question. Why guys don't call. I was a guy. And I
could kick myself because I didn't call. I recall going on a great
date. Intending to call but the call
was never made. Apparently. Guys don't need answering machines. We're
good at that. Guys need calling machines. On the other hand given the
way guys are it might
be good that we don't call.
Anyway we now have the science to explain. Its the mirror neuron.

claimed that the mirror neuron
is about empathy. In short studies with monkeys the found that the same
parts of the brain were involved/lit up in doing an action as seeing an
action done.
It has been called monkey see monkey do. What does this have to do with
guys you ask. It turns out that monkeys and guys have a lot in
common. Long before the
mirror neurons there were many guys who visualized as a form of
training/practice. There was that famous guy Rene, who said, I think
therefore I do. Ted Williams was
well known for visualizing/ practicing his swing while playing the
outfield. Even Presidents have demonstrated the existence of the mirror
neuron. I am not a crook.... Then
there was Jimmy Carter's comment....
Back to the guys. We think about you fondly. I think I'll call you
chat, set up dinner and a movie. I what you would like to see? It
was great thinking/talking with you.
Guys think/feel they actually made the call. You can bet that there
will be guys this weekend during the super bowl visualizing their call
to you..... isn't that what half time is for?
Given the science it is a wonder that guys ever leave the TV. But the
cell phone and talk radio are signs of potential progress.. Hello this
