Wright State University seeks a candidate for an instructor position within the Department of Sociology. The non-tenure track appointment will start September 1, 2006, with possibilities for year to year renewal. A PhD in Sociology is preferred, but candidates who are A.B.D. or have an MA will be considered. Preference will be given to those with college teaching experience.

Teaching responsibilities include nine introductory-level classes per year, three per quarter. A graduate teaching assistant will be provided to assist with grading and other tasks. There is a possibility of teaching honors sections, linked classes, and on-line classes. Applicatons must provide a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, student evaluations of teaching, peer evaluation of teaching if available, syllabi of previously taught introductory courses, evidence of graduate degree, and three current letters of recommendation.
