Hi Robert, et al. I went to the Harvard.edu site, followed the research link, typed 'implicit' in the "search" engine on the research page, and came across the article noted below.
http://www.researchmatters.harvard.edu/story.php?article_id=419 You can also access the survey via tolerance.org's website. Tolerance is a very solid organization, with regard to race relations. I often send my students there to study hate groups. http://www.tolerance.org/hidden_bias/index.html Apparently, this project is legitimate. Unfortunately, I have not used this test in the classroom, nor even looked at the survey (yet). But I am curious, Robert. What do you mean when you suggest there is an "ethical dilemma of presenting this research?" And what sort of criticism has it drawn? In the meantime, I will look at the test more, and let you know what I think. Robert J. The Implicit Administration Test (IAT) and the author spent considerable time discussing the Race IAT. I was wondering who has used this in class and how to handle the ethical dilemma of presenting this research. Also, what kind of criticism it has drawn. Thanks! Here is the website for those not familiar with it. www.implicit.harvard.edu --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Teaching Sociology" group.
