I am working with a student on a paper doing content analysis of magazine images. She has coded the images, along with two other coders. We are going to test for inter-coder reliablity. The part I am stuck on, given that I have never done such research, is when you have three coders - whose code do you use to test the hypotheses under study? Particularly when you are dealing with a descrete variable. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
