It's my understanding (and experience) depleting a lead acid battery below 50% charge repeatedly will significantly reduce it's life. Bring it down to 0% a couple of times and you don't have much of a battery left. To extend the life of a LA battery don't discharge below 60%.

Also be careful charging sealed LA batteries, they can't take a fast charge like the vented kind.
