Hello Everyone, Has anyone else on this list experienced problems with the hard drive not showing up at start up on a slot-loading iMac? I have one that can't find the HD. The desktop icon doesn't even show up when booted from a CD. I have toren it apart and disconnected the power and IDE cable (I haven't tried the shaking technique described by some in my last inquiry). Disk First Aid and Drive Setup can't see it either. Any other ideas before I have to send it in? This computer had Student Forms 3.1 on it and I had the same problem with a PowerMac 5200/75 that had it. Surely an IEP program won't cause this problem would it? Both machines that have this problem came from the same room and had the same program loaded on it. Strange!
