AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive is an online collection of photos, text
files, audio clips, and graphics with the focus on the over 500,000
current and historical photographs. Each photograph includes
captions from the Associated Press beginning from the period before
the Civil War to today. Current news photos are added daily and
historical pictures are added weekly. The graphics collection
includes over 7000 maps, charts, logos, diagrams, etc. The text
collection has over 700,000 full text articles. The audio collection
includes over 500,000 audio clips from as early as the 1920s. The
audio clips may be downloaded into RealPlayer.

All the media files may be used IN THE CLASSROOM for assignments,
research, handouts, multimedia presentations, overhead projections,
and slide shows.

The files may NOT BE used on Web sites or in newsletters, newspapers,
magazines, brochures, catalogs, commercial announcements, calendars,
posters, yearbooks, playbills, T-shirts, promotional items or for
commercial use or gain of any kind. [Short interpretation by
Harriet: Use is prohibited outside of the classroom.]

One unique searching tip: Use single quotation marks for phrases
such as 'Florida Marlins.'

The help information located on the left side of the screen is
excellent and very understandable.

Let me know if you have any questions.
