PPEL
Purchases - Bill #2 As
passed the Senate, this bill would lower the permissible minimum purchase
from $1,500 and allow districts to purchase technology as opposed to just
current law of "technology systems".
In addition the bill would have allowed districts to spend general
fund dollars for PPEL purposes such as constructing a building. A House Education Committee
amendment would strike the use of general fund dollars for PPEL
purposes.

On
House calendar with committee amendment.

John,
A couple of questions.
1. How is the 10M for school tech riding
through the legislature?
2. How is the redefinition of PPEL allowed
purchases going?
I know you are busy, so take care.
