I am not sure what other people think, and I am only really a grateful guest
from afar on this very cool group. However I got to thinking about how
someone could build a profile of info on some of us over time based on
scanning through the archives with Google (or other) serach engines. Just a
thought.

does google pay attention to robots.txt files?  Is there any interest in
password protecting the archive with some generic password?  That would keep
out a robot.
