I'm wanting to put together a survey on surveymonkey or some site like that, but I want to make sure I'm asking the correct questions. I'm wanting some way to help figure out costs of imaging computers, Legally. Meaning the correct licensing per workstation. I know someone may have only purchased a 5 user license of ghost, but use it to image a complete lab. Here is what I am thinking. 1. Product Name - FOG, Windows Imaging (RIS???), Ghost, ZenWorks, etc... Not for sure what all is out there. 2. Cost - Per workstation or User. 3. Average time to image a workstation - Based on a X size image... Standard WinXP with Office etc... Estimated - 7 gig? *** Maybe even have Win 7 fully loaded - 9-10 Gig 4. Automation options - ???? Not for sure what to ask here. Not for sure how this can fit in, but I would like to know how many of you create your images. Do you have base images, then add on's, etc... or do you take a computer, fully load it with everything from scratch, then image it? What other options, if any, would you think could be valid input data to help consider costs of imaging. I know many of you may have already compiled data like this, so I don't want to reinvent the wheel. I would like to keep this geared towards our K-12 group if possible. You will not have to give your schools name. But I feel we need to know Size of district. Small, Medium, Large type districts. Thanks for any and all input on this.
