Are they still predicting Earl to stay strong Cat 2 or Cat 3 until it gets as far North as New York. The forecast track I saw showed it still having sustained wind of 105 when it got that far North, but turning more Northeasterly toward Nova Scotia. The tracking software I used to have is no longer maintained by the writer, so I don't watch the tracks as closely as I used to.
Just to make things interesting, there are two more lined up behind Earl. TS Fiona and what will be TS Gaston later today. We're already having swimmers being pulled out to see by the rip tides generated by Danielle. Hopefully everyone will start taking the threat seriously and we can avoid any un-necessary casualties.
