1. Free - from before paid was option (or at least that I knew about.)
2. Nope other than a few times needed to open sites that were black listed
in DNS.

4. We use it as another layer of defense beyond our CIPAFilter.

see a reason for paid version.
6. Address is correction is nice.  You can setup all kids of things in there
(including shortcuts: type "ac" in address bar to get to school home page
etc.)
7. I do not care for the search page that displays when something does not
come up...

I use it at home too. I am not sure if it makes anything faster but I have
chosen to use all of the smartcache etc. features offered...
