Can I suggest a repair tool for the data store is a high priority? Even
if the DSB is partially or completely defeated, there will always be
user, OS and hardware related corruption. Presumably, if each data item
is stored sequentially with its metadata, a repair program could read
each item, discard it if corrupt, and, if intact, re-index it according
to the official Plan. This would mean a new compliant data store with
none of the corruption retained. I know nothing about programming, but
it works well in the client program used to send this email.
