Are you saying that if you distributed the GPL'd Tor code patched with a crypto algorithm that you don't believe the government can easily crack you would be disappeared or something? Sounds like a pretty lame reason for not contributing to Tor to me. Darpa has influence on who gets funding but that's about it, especially when it comes to open source projects where everything happens in public. > this technology will be key to shaping the future of the internet. I am very excited to get in on the ground floor as well. I think there used to be an "everything over freenet" project. fproxy already implements http-ish services. But only for publishing information. Interactive things like cgi etc are not and will probably never be possible in the traditional freenet scheme unless it is by i2p type functionality.
