It should be fairly easy to do automatic postings to Freenet from  
Subversion. Make a Python or Ruby interface to Freenet and all will  
be well.

Actually distributing the data store will be harder, SVN relies on a  
central data store. If you're looking for something that could be  
held on a freesite and checked out from there I suggest darcs (http:// 
abridgegame.org/darcs/) as it doesn't rely on a central repository or  
any special servers.
