And H.264 is even better, and I believe the spec is now available to download 
for free. (And I doubt that a filter would infringe on any patents and in any 
case we shouldn't care).

But realistically we need a release and we'll be lucky (or stupid) if the 
theora filter is in 0.8.

Howevever if you want to write a VP8/Matroska (aka WebM) filter that'd be 
really awesomely amazing, and we will give you all reasonable help.
