Hi, I was wondering, are you using a special tool, which identifies GPL binaries for you or are you checking like one binary after another ?
'Cause if the latter is the case, I would suggest to implement some kind of automated GPL binary search, to which you may just feed your firmware image, it does the partition detection, unsquashfs'ing if necessary and in the end presents you a list of files, which have been compiled from GPL'ed source code. What do you think, wouldn't that be useful ? ... comments, suggestions, disadvantages, drawbacks etc. ? Best, Matthias
