Subject: [lopsa-tech] Throttleable network traffic generation

I need to test a patch for a 10Gb interface on AIX, so I need to be able to generate controllable amounts of network traffic. It's easy to generate lots of traffic with dd or netcat, I need to control the speed to check for issues at various data rates. Any suggestions for tools I should look at?

It's not what I know that counts.
It's what I can remember in time to use.
