Hi Brandon!

Not quite, but very close.  You got me onto the right track.  I'd been
looking at OpenOffice as the place I was missing something, but I ran
into exactly the same scenario with LibreOffice, so began looking
around the OS.  Found a 6-year old posting by Seth Maloney (anyone
know him?) that pointed me at setting up an icon on the OS menu bar.
Did the trick, and I have exactly what I was looking for now.
