I might be in a situation where I need to install and configure software on
Linux servers without having root access (I'd have my own filesystems, and a
"power user" which owns those filesystems). Yet I need this task to be easily
repeatable (read: as automated as possible).
Is it worth trying to do this with puppet?
Are there tools specialised for this kind of tasks (software install, config,
change of config files)?
