What tools do folks use for Apache capacity testing? From my own research (really serendipity more than anything else) I found Siege [http://www.joedog.org/siege-home/]. Has anyone here used it? Do you like it and have any advice to get the most out of it? Or, are there other tools that folks would throw out there as alternatives?

I ended up using siege for a recent test I was doing[1] after trying out httperf and ab. There seemed to be a bunch of "okay" tools in this area rather than one or two "good" tools.

I guess a big problem in the area is the wide variation in usage cases means that the feature-sets are hard to satisfy everybody. For instance I found almost all the tools wouldn't let me "run through this list of URLs and send them all to that IP" so I ended up creating a bunch of host entries.

As you might have also found tools like this are hard to google for and lists seem to be about 10 years old. I don't remember coming across Tsung when I looked previously although I suspect the xml configuration would have put me off a little.
