Back in November I posted to this list asking wha kinds of programs
sysadmins write. [1] Those of you who responded discovered that I didn't
really care what sort of programs you wrote but rather, whether testing
was part of your software development process (such as it may be). Based
on the responses I got (namely, that very few of you do any sort of
testing), I decided to write an article for ";login:" [2] (USENIX's
magazine/journal):

I know that many LOPSA members are not also USENIX members so I've made
