Technically outlook.com is not doing the right thing, they should reject Yahoo's message with a 550. Some people will argue that doing so is opening the door to spammers to verify which emails are valid for your domain (you can use rate limit to avoid that). Also, as pointed out by Steve VanDevender, they (outlook.com) send a message later that is looks like spam (mix of text and html, etc...).
