I nearly didn't reply - but given what Adam just said ... I'll back him
up! 

We've used a multi-function b/w laser Brother for a long-long time now,
and trust me when I say it's taken a beating! (Duplex and all...) 

So impressed we are - we're looking to back it up with a bigger/more
capable (possibly colour) MFC model. 

I know YMMV - but personally I'd say "I doubt you'll go wrong with a
Brother". Check the online specs for details about envelopes etc.
