I am trying to help one of our Sysdamins who inherited a system with zero docs. She is having issues with the RAID 5 system and Windows Server 2003. I was able to find the type of Motherboard and RAID controller but have come up blank looking for any Docs for the RAID system. It is saying "Critical" but that is a broad statement.
She is trying to repair the Windows installation but can't get this Critical thing resolved. So has anyone on the list had any experience with this type of RAID controller? I can't get inside thecase but from the BIOS this is an integrated chipset on a Tyan Board. The board is probably obsolete as the Tyan website doesn't reference it. The board is a dual processor board with two Opteron 270s on board with 5gb of RAM. Any pointers to a man page anywhere that will give me something to go with would be appreciated. The Disk management part of Windows is not accessable since the OS may be hosed.
