Besides, are you going to add -BeginExpr and -EndExpr so people don't have to 
type \( and \) ?

Please don't.

It just makes the manual longer for no additional functionality,
and encourages people to write non-portable scripts.
Usability decreases with the size of an interface,
so keeping interfaces as small as possible is important.

The argument that "-not" is easier to type than "\!" doesn't
convince me at all; at best, it's a matter of taste.  And even
if it were a bit easier, that wouldn't excuse interface bloat.
