The kernel default has been changed so that machines (with lids) will suspend automatically if the lid is closed.
The installer no longer asks the question (which in 5.6 defaulted to
yes).
This choice will allow suspend/resume to be tested & improved even
further. It is already prompting some developers to look into more
sophisticated heuristics, and we'll see where that goes.
Anyone who wants it off,
