When X is configured to enable use of the numeric keypad to simulate a mouse, using Pointer_EnableKeys in Xmodmap, the pointer acceleration doesn't work as expected.
Specifically, when a directional key is held down, the pointer accelerates up to a point, then stops, and begins accelerating again, and stops, repeatedly. Presumably a counter somewhere is wrapping round to zero instead of reaching it's maximum value and stopping. -- Tati Chevron Perl and FORTRAN specialist.
