Yes, this is at least part of what needs to be cleaned up after
Martijn's four diffs went in, after that your patch is ok tb@.

As afresh1@ pointed out, there probably needs to be further cleanup,
see also the diff below.

I think Martijn's diffs should be committed by bentley@ or millert@.
If they have no time, I can do it, but I'd like to have direct feedback
from them first.
