It happened again, this time in a slightly more convoluted scenario with bgpd adding and removing routes. I grabbed the output of route monitor from the time the tap0 interface was started, so it's quite big :( I've uploaded two versions, one with IPv4-addresses removed [0], one with the addresses still in, in case I messed something up [1]. The routing table looks like this (routes added by bgpd disappeared because the session died after the broken route was added): $ route -n show -inet6 Routing tables Internet6: Destination Gateway Flags Refs Use Mtu Prio Iface default fe80::2a0:57ff:fe24:807d%trunk0 UG 1 46 - 56 trunk0 ::/96 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 ::/104 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 ::1 ::1 UHhl 14 568 32768 1 lo0 ::127.0.0.0/104 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 ::224.0.0.0/100 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 ::255.0.0.0/104 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 ::ffff:0.0.0.0/96 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 2001:470:74bb::/64 2001:470:74bb::1 UCn 0 0 - 4 tap0 2001:470:74bb::1 fe:e1:ba:d0:a8:dd UHLl 0 0 - 1 tap0 2001:4dd0:af15:7478::/64 2001:4dd0:af15:7478:82fa:5bff:fe33:76b3 UCn 0 0 - 4 trunk0 2001:4dd0:af15:7478:82fa:5bff:fe33:76b3 80:fa:5b:33:76:b3 UHLl 0 0 - 1 trunk0 2001:4dd0:af15:7478:dc02:682d:13cf:94ec 80:fa:5b:33:76:b3 UHLl 0 33 - 1 trunk0 2002::/24 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 2002:7f00::/24 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 2002:e000::/20 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 2002:ff00::/24 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 fd97:1c82:9447::/64 fd97:1c82:9447::1 UCn 1 2 - 4 tap0 fd97:1c82:9447:: fd97:1c82:9447:: UHLc 0 890 - 4 tap0 fd97:1c82:9447::1 fe:e1:ba:d0:a8:dd UHLl 0 15 - 1 tap0 fe80::/10 ::1 UGRS 0 2 32768 8 lo0 fec0::/10 ::1 UGRS 0 0 32768 8 lo0 fe80::1%lo0 fe80::1%lo0 UHl 0 0 32768 1 lo0 fe80::%tap0/64 fe80::fce1:baff:fed0:a8dd%tap0 UCn 0 0 - 4 tap0 fe80::fce1:baff:fed0:a8dd%tap0 fe:e1:ba:d0:a8:dd UHLl 0 0 - 1 tap0 fe80::%trunk0/64 fe80::82fa:5bff:fe33:76b3%trunk0 UCn 1 2 - 4 trunk0 fe80::2a0:57ff:fe24:807d%trunk0 00:a0:57:24:80:7d UHLch 1 328 - 4 trunk0 fe80::82fa:5bff:fe33:76b3%trunk0 80:fa:5b:33:76:b3 UHLl 0 51 - 1 trunk0 ff01::/16 ::1 UGRS 2 4 32768 8 lo0 ff01::%lo0/32 ::1 Um 0 1 32768 4 lo0 ff01::%tap0/32 fe80::fce1:baff:fed0:a8dd%tap0 Um 0 2 - 4 tap0 ff01::%trunk0/32 fe80::82fa:5bff:fe33:76b3%trunk0 Um 0 2 - 4 trunk0 ff02::/16 ::1 UGRS 2 4 32768 8 lo0 ff02::%lo0/32 ::1 Um 0 1 32768 4 lo0 ff02::%tap0/32 fe80::fce1:baff:fed0:a8dd%tap0 Um 0 2 - 4 tap0 ff02::%trunk0/32 fe80::82fa:5bff:fe33:76b3%trunk0 Um 1 3 - 4 trunk0 As before, if you need any more info or pcaps or anything, I'd be more than happy to assist.
