I would like to propose addition of one small feature to w3m as SRU in order to fix logging in to launchpad. Support for <button>-tag as defined by HTML 4.01 is required to login to launchpad.

While adding w3m 0.5.2-10 from Natty to -backports would certainly be possible, from the perspective of normal users, that would still fail to achieve the goal of ubuntu-bug "just working" in default server installation once normal upgrades have been installed.

Therefore I propose cherrypicking a backport of 020_button.patch from Natty to Lucid and Maverick as SRU. Related branches are ready for review at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/w3m/+bug/683337

Description of LP: #523229 (The Continue button isn't selectable in w3m for sso login) summarizes the issue well:

<quote>
Server editions recommend using w3m as a browser.

I tested login.c.c and it failed due to the fact that the continue button isn't selectable. This means you can add your username and password but not carry on past that screen.

Everything else about the form seems to be fine other than that.
