As you can see in the screenshot, I have also invited myself (via my personal Gmail account), so that I can continue to track the meetings after my Canonical calendar goes away.
This works just fine and the meeting shows up on my personal calendar without issue. It looks like the problem is on your end. Fortunately, you're in the right company to get help diagnosing the problem.
