That's a new one. Really interesting. So if the CRT magnetic rings are not adjusted properly the convergence output ICs have been known to overheat? (even though the convergence looks fair).
Even the tech bulletin from Toshiba (for properly repairing the C & D line sets) didn't mention this. Sounds every bit as important as changing all six opamps (which they did suggest). Thanks!
