Hi John, Check for shorted TO92 transistor. Follow the orange memory wire inside the radio, the transistor is close to the orange wire connection. Delco Part# 16220677 (MPS W63). Hope this helps.

Hi Everyone;
Need some advice from the delco experts. Have the following radio in from a 1988 corvette. customer says display stays on & is killing
the
battery. After troubleshooting on the bench, he is right. when I have the set on the bench & disconnect the +12v to the set, the display is still on. but if I also disconnect the memory wire the display will go Off. seems to me like the memory power is keeping the display lit.
Does
any one have a print that they could sent me or has anyone seen this before? Also the unit is a Delco/Bose? Any Help will be appreciated !

Thank you for responding, took your advise and sure enough the transistor to the left of the orange wire on the bd. is shorted e-c. Gary do you have a generic cross for this transistor? the markings on it are Motorola 7042 750. Cannot seems to find a cross?
